Definita da Cobain la più stupida e ridicola canzone pop
che avesse mai composto, Sliver è un pezzo dal ritmo divertente e
monotono.
La prima metà è cantata pacatamente, la seconda metà è
urlata.
Cobain era molto orgoglioso del titolo della canzone, in
quanto si divertiva a pensare che molti, sbagliando, l'avrebbero chiamata
"Silver".
Registrazioni live della canzone sono state inserite nel
singolo di In Bloom e in From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah. La
versione in studio è presente anche sul CD Nirvana.
